One to Add to Your Date Night List

Looking for a new venue for your next date night? Or a spot to impress visitors? INTI, a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant within the Dubai Edition hotel is the perfect addition to your list.

As soon as we exited the dedicated lift for INTI, we knew we were about to experience something special. Greeted by a dark, moody space with soft lighting and flickering lanterns the tone was set for an impressive evening ahead. As the doors opened to the restaurant, we couldn’t help but exclaim ‘wow’ as we took in the interior décor and incredible view. Greenery, dark wooden beams, humungous lampshades and Inca scriptures are reminiscent of Latin America and create a romantic, high-end atmosphere whilst the open-air terrace gives an unobstructed panoramic view of the city and of course the iconic Burj Khalifa.

A Japanese-Peruvian concept, the menu reflects that fusion and offers a creative spin on some traditional dishes. We started by taking advantage of the extensive handcrafted cocktail menu, with the wait staff being incredibly knowledgeable, a level of service that was maintained across our visit, and as we were exploring a cuisine new to us we happily took recommendations on which food to order.

Whoever thinks guacamole is just simple avocado clearly hasn’t been to INTI – this guacamole was well presented, laced with togarashi spice and came with a variety of dipping chips – a taste sensation and an incredible start.

Our favourite dish was the Tuna Tartar – with cranberry mixed through and a slight hint of truffle, dare I say it, but this may just be the best Tuna Tartar in Dubai!

The Yakiniku – a sous vide beef short rib – just came off the bone and another stand out dish was one of our sides; the Arroz Con Maize – baby corn choclo and bomba rice. Creamy and tasty, the waitress explained that in Peru this dish came from using the leftovers. Not something we would be inclined to order usually, we were glad of the recommendation and will definitely be ordering on our next visit. Our other side dish of Huancaina – crispy potato with yellow chilli cream – gave that element of spice and flavour to set the meal off.

The dark chocolate fondant we finished up with had the logo embossed in gold on the chocolate – it’s the extra touches that just made this meal, well ‘extra!’

Romantic and impressive with good vibes, incredible food, drinks and service is how we would summarise INTI in one sentence – and we can’t wait to book it for our next date night.
