After 40 years (yes 40) in the land of the must-have-new-model it’s a surprise that the Sheraton in Abu Dhabi didn’t get a makeover sooner…

Most likely because everyone liked it just the way it was and was hugely popular, but change is a good thing, and we like what we see

Owned by Abu Dhabi National Hotels the total spend is Dh130 million over 2 phases. Phase 1 is already complete with the second phase to come and be completed later this year. The second phase doubles the size of the banquet rooms and offers a complete fresh look for the lobby. The guest rooms are also getting a makeover. In total the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Resort and Spa has 250 rooms. After that is completed, the executive floor will grow from 1 to 3 in total

The new gym and spa area look fantastic and should keep even the most die-hard fitness and spa crowd coming back for more

But not everything has changed, Flavor’s, B Lounge Beach Bar, Boho, Tavern Pub and British Bar are all coming back so not too much change there then, remember the saying ‘old is gold’.

Although Le Bistrot is new. Expect fine French dining and Amadeus a completely new venue that will open sometime soon we hope. Sheraton Abu Dhabi Corniche 02 677 333
