Play Games at New Arcade and Bar – Triple 7
Following the trend for adult based arcade games mixed with bars who serve food is Dubai’s latest offering – Triple 7 at the Radisson Blu Canal View in Business Bay. Revisit the 80s and 90s with retro arcade games such as Pacman, and once you’ve played to your heart’s content you can pop next door to 7 Heaven, and enjoy craft hops, mixed drinks and all other beverages in a sleek and stylish setting. Open daily 4pm-2am.
Get a Pink Grape Lunch at Nuska Beach
The lush beach club at Jumeirah Beach Hotel is offering a lunch with bottomless pink grape and a three-course meal for only AED 295. Enjoy the glorious views while you chow down and listen to the smokey sounds of their in-house saxophone player, and even a live DJ. Available every Sunday-Friday from 12:30pm-4pm for AED 295.
Dine at Authentic British Venue – Toad in the Hole
Next to another British favourite Top Golf, is a newly opened British gastropub called Toad in Hole (leaving absolutely no doubt as to what type of cuisine it will be serving). Expect all your British comfort classics such as roast dinners, fish and chips, and real toad in the hole. It’s open from midday until midnight on weekends and from 5pm-midnight during the week, and is a perfect spot for pre- or post-golf drinks and snacks.
Groove on the Grass (Literally)
This iconic festival is geared up for another turn this Saturday at Emirates Golf Club. Known for being one of the UAE’s home-grown music and arts events, this time will be its 11th appearance in the city. Expect Folamour, Catz ‘n Dogz, Polish duo Grzegorz Demiañczuk, Wojciech Taranczuk and Habibi Funk with John Bowtie to be playing throughout the outdoor event, so you can groove on the grass and under the stars. Tickets from AED 195 and timings are 5pm-3am, on Saturday 18th November.
Enjoy a Night of Brit-pop with Sugababes, Vengaboys & Busted at Bla Bla
Party spot Bla Bla are hosting a day-to-night event called MIXTAPE which is also hosted by DJ Chris Moyles, promising a night of throwback noughties Brit-pop classics. Reminisce with your squad and enjoy some nostalgia as these acts are due to deliver their most popular top of the pops hits. Tickets are from AED 495 on Saturday 18th November at Bla Bla in JBR.
Watch the Dubai Air Show (and it’s FREE!)
From Monday-Friday this week expect gravity-defying air shows and artistic displays from aircraft including Fursan Al Emarat, the UAE Air Force aerobatic display team; Sarang, the helicopter air display team of the Indian Air Force; and August 1st, the aerobatic demonstration team of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (Chinese Air Force). The best place to catch the display is the Skyview World Central, from 2pm-5pm Monday-Friday.
