The Insider Reviews: A Riviera-Inspired Oasis – Twiggy Family, Where Chic Meets Family Fun

‘Chic’ and ‘family-friendly’ are an uncommon pairing but Twiggy Family manages to do it just right. The latest addition to the Park Hyatt Dubai, manages to stand out by effortlessly combining the elegance of the Riviera with an environment that’s perfect for both adults and children. 

From the moment you step in, you’re enveloped in an atmosphere that captures the spirit of the Riviera, and the inspiration from the Riviera is evident not only in the aesthetics but in the overall atmosphere that the club exudes.

Nestled alongside the Dubai Creek Marina and Yacht Club, Twiggy Family offers a unique and serene backdrop with plenty of yachts, transporting you right to the French Riviera. This location, combined with the meticulous attention to detail and impeccable service from the get-go, sets the stage for a truly memorable day.

Twiggy Family’s commitment to providing a family-friendly experience is clear. At the heart of it all is a temperature-controlled lagoon, bordered by inviting cabanas and sunbeds. It’s a space where parents can relax and children can play to their hearts’ content.

The children’s area is a highlight, offering a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, entertainment options, classes, and games. It was clear to us that Twiggy Family understands the importance of keeping young ones engaged and entertained throughout the day.

But what we thought truly set Twiggy Family apart in the realm of family fun is the array of water-based attractions. The crown jewel is undoubtedly the splash pad. This toddler-tastic oasis offers a safe and exciting space for children to frolic, splash, and cool off. As the Dubai sun shone brightly on the day we visited, the splash pad provided a welcome respite where the kids could unleash their boundless energy and create lasting memories. Beyond the splash pad, the 100 metre lagoon itself is breathtaking with the yachts in the background and with it being surrounded by sand they could also build sandcastles after their swim. There are also plenty of inflatables available, ensuring that children (and the young at heart) have an absolute blast. 

While the children are busy enjoying their water-based adventures, parents can unwind and indulge in the delectable culinary offerings. The menu is a celebration of Italian and Mediterranean classics, offering a delightful array of seafood platters, poke bowls, sandwiches, pizzas, and pasta.

As we sat down to eat, the children’s laughter from the splash pad echoed in the background, serving as a reminder of the endless fun they were having. The fresh tuna niçoise and creamy burrata were a fantastic start to our meal – you know when you can just taste the quality? The tuna was very fresh and the burrata was super creamy. The spicy shrimp arrabiata and chicken strips, accompanied by the just-right-amount-of-spice dipping sauce, were amazing and the perfect items to share whilst enjoying our cocktails. Our meal culminated with an indulgent all-chocolate dessert and a refreshing açai bowl.

The service at Twiggy Family deserves special mention. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive, providing recommendations for food and drink that were spot-on. Their friendly and accommodating demeanour, especially with our little one, added to the overall positive experience. As a parent, I also couldn’t help but appreciate the thoughtful touches that make family outings here enjoyable. High-quality Stokke highchairs were available for the younger kids and the children’s menu isn’t just your standard nuggets and chips – our little one loved his grilled cheese sandwich (and a taste of all our dishes!).

Twiggy Family has indeed set a new standard for family pool days in Dubai. It strikes the perfect balance between sophistication and family fun, making it a strong contender for Dubai’s chicest family beach club.

As I left Twiggy Family, I couldn’t help but feel incredibly fortunate to have such a family-friendly offering right on our doorstep here in the UAE and can’t wait to return.
