Christmas is just around the corner and if you haven’t got your turkey for your gathering at home or booked your fabulous day out yet, you can still get your special day taken care of by the Sheraton Grand Hotel. From takeaway turkeys to go with all the trimmings and a variety of upgrades, to hosting your office lunch or party, or dining in the hotel for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day with sumptuous food and premium drink, there’s something on offer for every festive occasion this year.
Why waste time and effort brining your turkey for three days and peeling spuds at home when you can get a takeaway turkey freshly prepared by expert chefs from the Sheraton’s culinary team? Their roasted farmed turkey includes Christmas stuffing, sweet potato mash, braised red cabbage, oven-roasted root veggies, roasted potatoes, crunchy Brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce, homemade gravy with freshly baked festive cookies on the side. You can choose either the portion for up to 10 people priced at AED 700 or the larger size up to 15 people priced at AED 900. To upgrade your feast and impress your guests, you can add starters such as a platter of cold cuts and cheese, smoked salmon blinis, or foie gras with condiments, starting at AED 70. For something sweet you can have delicious traditional mince pies (8 pieces for only AED 40), Christmas puddings (8 pieces for only AED 40), or a Yule log for AED 60 (per KG). Yum yum and all the fun.
The best thing about being at work during the holiday season is the number of Christmas office parties, complete with tinsel, goodwill, and high jinks. Where better than to spend time with your colleagues than one of the Sheraton’s private dining rooms at Feast, where they can lay on a lavish international buffet full of festive favourites and packed with flavour. Carved roast turkey, traditional trimmings, mince pies galore, Christmas pudding and Yule log are among some of the hotel’s finest offerings. For only AED 105 per person, you’ll also have a fully decorated table and unlimited soft beverages. You can avail this offer every Friday in December on Level 6 of the hotel from 12:30-3pm.
But the real centrepieces of their seasonal calendar are their events on 24th and 25th of December. Starting with a Christmas Eve Dinner at Feast from 7:30-10:30pm, you can enjoy a stunning and eclectic spread of fresh seafood from oysters, mussels, clams, prawns, as well as the traditional turkey and other themed dishes. Prepare to be bedazzled by the venue’s glittering decoration, while the music promises to be full of party favourites. This event promises to be a showstopper and the only place to be on Christmas Eve. Packages start at AED 275 including soft beverages, AED 400 including premium beverages, and AED 500 including bubbles. Children between 7-11 years get a 50% discount while kids under 6 years eat for free, which is perfect if you’re a mixed age dining group or have family and friends in town.
For the paramount holiday date, Christmas Day, book your dinner at Sheraton Grand’s Feast restaurant from 7:00-10:00pm; their buffet has some of the tastiest menu options in the city. Load your plate with their tender and juicy roast turkey, authentic beef Wellington, prime rib, an array of seafood, festive desserts and a whole host of other trimmings, sauces, and sides. Get fully into the spirit of things by availing their packages with bubbly for only AED 425, while the soft beverage package is AED 325, and with soft beverages it’s AED 225 – which is an absolute bargain in terms of pricing and the quality of the food.
