Saudi Arabia Announces New Visit Visa Scheme
If you’re looking to travel to KSA anytime soon you’ll find things have got a whole lot easier…
UAE residents can now visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with much greater ease, as they’ve introduced a new personal visa valid either for 90 days with single entry, or 365 days with multiple entry.
Saudi citizens are able to extend invitations to their Muslim friends to perform Umrah on a personal visit visa. You can also take in the sights and sounds of historical and cultural reference, such as the incredible Maraya art installation in the desert around Al Ula.
We recently published an article on adventure travel destinations which included Al Ula here.
If you’re interested in applying for the visa you can do so via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ visa platform.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah added that visitors wishing to perform Umrah must also obtain an Umrah permit via the Nusuk application. The Kingdom will attract around 100 million tourists by 2030 under their Vision 2023 programme, and tourism generally will rise sharply with new developments for leisure and travel, plus the creation of more than one million jobs in the region.
