Dubai Island’s Announces First Hotel Project

A whopping eighty brand new hotels are planned as part of the development, and we’ve got the full scoop here.

With nearly 500 hotels already across the entire nation, Dubai is bumping up their already impressive numbers by announcing the development of a brand new mega-project called the Dubai Islands.

The developer Nakheel has publicly shared that Rixos Dubai Islands, Hotel & Residences will be the first luxury hotel and residential living area in the allotted area, and that there are a total of eighty resorts and hotels planned.

With some of the plots being residential, this means that the lucky ones can expect a premium waterfront location with the uber luxury name of the Rixos brand provided as their address. One, two, and three-bedroom apartments with terraces are planned as well as luxury four-bed duplexes with private pools, beach houses – with lush gardens – plus more impressive palatial villas.

Rasha Hasan, chief commercial officer at Nakheel, said: “The stunning waterfront location on Dubai Islands will make Rixos Dubai Islands, Hotel and Residences a new place to enjoy Dubai’s beautiful coastline. By bringing the world-renowned Rixos brand to Dubai Islands, we are creating an exclusive family-friendly living environment that offers waterfront luxury living with a metropolitan feel.”

Francois Baudin, chief business officer, Ennismore Immersive Resorts & All Inclusive Collection, said: “We are excited to be partnering with Nakheel to develop our new hospitality and residential project on the prime location of Dubai Islands. This new venture marks our commitment to Dubai as a global hub for tourism as well as for an ever-increasing population that wants to call Dubai home.”

The development was originally named Deira Islands (we applaud the name change), and is spread over a total of five islands that are 17 square KM along Dubai’s northern coastline. There will also be an interconnected location providing easy access to the city and airport, while the waterfront destinations will have over 20 KM of beaches, including a certified Blue Flag, plus public parks, open spaces, and a golf course with unrivalled views of the glittering Arabian Gulf sea.
