Prague on a Budget: New Direct Flights from the UAE Cost Less Than a Staycation

Your next European city break just got a whole lot cheaper.
Budget travel fans, this one’s for you. Air Arabia has added another European gem to its growing route map, launching daily direct flights from Sharjah to Prague — with fares starting from just AED 674 one way.
The new service touches down at Václav Havel Airport Prague, making one of Europe’s most beautiful capital cities more accessible than ever for UAE-based travellers. It follows closely on the airline’s recent expansion into Europe, including new low-cost flights to Munich, further cementing Sharjah’s status as a budget-friendly gateway to the continent.
With its fairytale architecture, historic old town, hearty food scene and famously good-value local beer, Prague is a favourite for short city breaks — and now it’s firmly in weekend-getaway territory.

Visit the charming streets of Prague and marvel at the bright buildings and unique architecture – all without the usual damage to your wallet.
The route is operated using Air Arabia’s latest Airbus A320neo aircraft and becomes part of the airline’s expanding European network from Sharjah, which already includes Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow and Warsaw.
Flight timings (local):
- Sharjah to Prague: departs 4.45pm, arrives 8.35pm
- Prague to Sharjah: departs 12.40pm, arrives 9.45pm
Commenting on the launch, Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, said the new route reflects strong demand for affordable, direct travel between the UAE and Europe, while also supporting tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.
In short? A postcard-perfect European capital, direct flights, and prices that don’t hurt: Prague just jumped to the top of the travel wish list.
