Mission Possible: Residents have been Up Close with Legendary Actor Tom Cruise in Abu Dhabi
Rarely do we mere mortals have the chance to meet our idols up close, but there have been numerous sightings of Tom in Abu Dhabi
Visiting the country’s capital for the premiere of his latest Mission: Impossible movie, globally famous actor Tom Cruise has been making the most of his time in the UAE, posing for numerous selfies with fans and interacting with guests at all press events.
The latest movie from the franchise called Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is a typically action-packed film with jaw-dropping stunts, most of which the actor is widely reported to do himself.
When he first arrived in Abu Dhabi, images were released of the A-lister with director Christopher McQuarrie at Abu Dhabi International Airport’s (soon to open) Midfield Terminal. This location was where most of the movie’s incredible stunts and action sequences were filmed.
On Monday Tom was seen at the iconic Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental fo the red carpet premiere where he partied the night away with the film’s other stars Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, and Pom Klementieff. After his work calls he made time to check out the sights and sounds of the city, including visiting the Louvre and even award-winning restaurant Fouquet’s at Louvre Abu Dhabi, where he posed for pictures with the staff at the elegant French-themed eatery, while munching down on a croque monsieur and burger.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning is out in UAE cinemas on July 3rd.
