Get Ready for a 6-Day Holiday for Eid al Fitr

Eid al Fitr is the post-Ramadan celebration and 2024 promises a whopping 6 days off work.

Get ready for a well-deserved break because Eid al Fitr, the next UAE public holiday following Ramadan, is just around the corner. Anticipation is high as it’s expected that we could enjoy a bumper six days off work to celebrate this joyous occasion.

The UAE government has already outlined the country’s 2024 Eid al Fitr holiday dates, but as usual, the official dates will be confirmed closer to the time based on Moon-sightings. Typically, Eid al Fitr holidays are granted from Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3 in the Islamic calendar. For instance, if Eid 2024 falls on April 10th, then Tuesday, April 9th, will be Ramadan 29, and Friday, April 12th, will be Shawwal 3 according to the Gregorian calendar.

With Eid al Fitr expected to fall from April 9th-12th (Tuesday to Friday), it’s shaping up to be a four-day holiday. But wait, there’s more – by adding the weekend after, you can stretch it to six days off. And for those seeking an extended getaway, consider booking Monday, April 8th, off work, which would give you an epic nine-day holiday.

It’s time to mark your calendars and start planning for some serious holiday fun. Looking for an iftar in the meantime? Check our listings here.
