The iconic Dubai tourist attraction is scheduled for a new look.
Exciting developments are underway at the Dubai Frame as the iconic attraction prepares for the future. Situated in Zabeel Park, this towering structure, standing over 150 metres tall, offers visitors breathtaking views of Dubai from its expansive glass viewing platform.
Originally opened in 2018, the Dubai Frame is now set for a significant upgrade, as reported by the Khaleej Times. During the Arabian Travel Mart, the Dubai Municipality revealed plans for enhancements that will elevate the visitor experience to new heights.
These upcoming changes aim to showcase a futuristic vision of Dubai, offering glimpses into what the city may look like in the next 50 years.
Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department, said: “We will have a Dubai exhibition which will show visitors how the city will look 50 years in the future.
“The Dubai Frame will go for a full renovation that will provide a great experience. The work is expected to be completed in the last quarter of next year and will hopefully open to the public soon afterwards.”
Currently, the Dubai Frame offers visitors a captivating journey through the evolution of Dubai, highlighting the visionary leadership of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Upon reaching the viewing platform via a lift, guests are treated to panoramic views of Dubai, with a glass floor providing a unique perspective of the ground below, complemented by a café. The upcoming exhibition will be situated on the ground floor of the Dubai Frame.
While an official renovation start date is pending confirmation, visitors can still enjoy the attraction during the renovation period, as only a portion of the mezzanine floor will be temporarily closed off.
