The Adventure Begins: Hatta Resorts Announce Opening Dates

The long hot summer finally has an end in sight, as attractions such as the Hatta Resort glamping announce their reopening date.

If you’re not travelling out of the UAE and feel a little adventurous, you’d be well advised to check out some of the region’s finest glamping and outdoor activities, up in the Hatta mountains near the Oman border.

Hatte Resorts has announced they’re reopening for business on September 15th, so you can get your outdoor adventure fix that’s just a 90-minute drive from Dubai, with a variety of options to stay in.

The Sedr Trailers are known for being hipster and trendy, or if you want to venture further into the mountains you can book one of the Damani Lodges, which is nestled deeper into the rugged terrain.

Meanwhile the Caravans at Hatta Resorts are better suited to families, as there are better facilities for those not quite ready for a rustic camping experience. There’s also the Domes at Hatta Resorts, which are Instagram-worthy igloo-like tents with truly incredible views.

You can also pick a more traditional hotel stay at JA Hatta Fort Hotel, and they’ve also jumped on the glamping trend by offering brand-new Terra Cabins, similar to chalets and made from pine wood, but painted grey to suit the nearby Al Hajar Mountains.

Once there you can take advantage of a range of heightened and watery pursuits that certainly make a change from the norm of boozy brunches in opulent venues. Go ziplining, mountain biking, indulge in a spot of archery, rock climbing, paragliding, pedal boating, and even four-wheel biking.

But if that’s all too high octane for you, just chill at the Hatta Wadi Club where there are some tamer water slides, and even sunset yoga sessions. There are plans for the area to have a little makeover too, on the Hatta Beach side, plus a Crystal Lagoon, artificial lake, and cable car to transport visitors from Hatta Dam to the top of Umm Al Nusour.

Get your trip booked in as the glamping facilities sell out very quickly in the winter season. They’re taking bookings from September 15th.
