Make a Splash – the UAE’s 5 Best Water Parks

Some oldies and some goodies here as we round up some of the most breathtaking waterslides and activities in the UAE.

Wild Wadi

One of the original water parks and home to the Jumeirah Scarah, it’s centrally located and offers a long lazy river, plus metre-high waves and surfing with water guns. You can also enjoy a proper wave effect and try to bodyboard or kneeboard with a realistic wave water effect, so you can practise looking boujee on a board. It’s open from 10am-7pm and entrance starts from AED 299 per adult.

Aquaventure

An absolute must-see for tourists and residents alike, this water park is home to one of the largest near-vertical slide that goes under the aquarium, and also some rather terrifying tubes where the bottom drops out and launches you into oblivion. There’s also a lazy river, plunge, slides, plus the chance to visit dolphins and sharks. You can even cuddle a sea lion. Open from 10am-7pm and entrance from AED 195.

Yas Waterworld

Pop over to Yas Island Abu Dhabi and enjoy wet fun for all the family. With plenty of kids areas for the little ones, there’s also some adrenaline pumping slides for the hard-to-scare. There are suspended water cannons (fire in the hole!) plus roller coasters and free falls dropping into a high intensity water slide. We also recommend the super cool water cinema. Open from 10am-8pm and tickets from AED 210.

Al Ain’s Wadi Adventure

This is definitely for the thrill-seekers among you! Featuring wakeboarding, kayaking, rafting, zip lining and surfing all at the same location, there’s also unparalleled views of the towering Jebel Hafeet, which you can also venture over to for hiking and sunset photos. This is the place to show your best skills as some of the pros come here too, and you can also check out the climbing wall and giant swing. Open from 11am-7pm and entry is from AED 45 plus extra for activities.

Laguna, La Mer

Family and shopping destination La Mer has provided its own adventure sports for kids and families since it opened, including raft rides, a lazy river, and a competitive double-lane mat slider race. It’s a little smaller than the other parks but has the backdrop of shopping and dining, plus the La Mer beach destination with additional water sports in the ocean. Day passes start at AED 99 for residents and includes all you can eat F&B and it’s open from 10am-8pm.
