Eid Al Fitr 2023

It could well be that Ramadan will fall on March the 23rd. It’s not 100% as its also reliant on a moon sighting but it’s close enough to plan

Let’s say the 30 day fast will end on April the 21st with Eid-al-Fitr on the same day. This would lead to a four-day weekend in the UAE, falling on April 20, 21, 22 and 23.. If you take Monday to Wednesday off (17th to the 19th) you can have 9 days holiday having only conceded 3 days of your own leave.

Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha 2023

The next holiday you can look forward to is Arafat Day. Its forecasted to take place on Tuesday June the 27 and the 28th will be Eid Al Adha and should be Wednesday the 28th to June 30th. Lets say your company gives all of these days off, thats 9 days leave for the price of 1. Not bad at all.

Islamic New Year 2023

Also known as the Islamic New Year, this holiday marks the beginning of a new lunar Hijri year. Its quite likely this holiday will fall on July the 21st. So take off July 17th to the 20th and that’s 9 days for the price of 4.

Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday 2023

The UAE has already announced Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday as a holiday in 2023. The date will be September the  29th a Friday.

So no prizes given for working this out, take off Monday to Thursday and congratulations you have got 9 days of for the price of 4.

UAE National Day 2023

This holiday is already locked in and doesn’t rely on any external factors and is actually 2 back to back. Commemoration day is on December 1st which is another Friday.

National day is the day after but this year it falls on a Saturday. If your company offers a day in lieu you can have another 4 day weekend

Book Monday to November the 27th to Thursday November 30th then Tuesday December the 5th to Friday December the 8th and you’re looking at 16 days off for the price of 8. Even if you don’t get National day back it’s still excellent.
