Saltfire Steakhouse & Fire Kitchen Sparks a New Chapter for Bahrain’s Gourmet Landscape

Bahrain’s boldest new opening.
Let’s be honest, Bahrain has long held the reputation for being the quieter cousin in the GCC crew. You know, brunch here, souq stroll there: cute, but hardly what you’d call fiery. Well, consider yourselves newly informed, because just when you thought Manama was all pearl diving and polite dining, Saltfire – Steakhouse & Fire Kitchen comes out of the ashes with and stamps fiery footprint on the city’s culinary landscape.
Challenging expectations with flame, flair and a five-alarm flavour experience, Saltfire is not your everyday eatery. Brought to life by FoodFund International, the tastemakers behind Clay, SAN Beach, and The Meat Co., this brand-new beast of a venue in Adliya’s vibrant Block 338 is turning up the heat on the local dining scene.
And yes, we’ve got the Insider scoop on all the essential details.
This is fire – with finesse.
A space that smoulders.
Born of Smoke, Raised by Fire
Saltfire steps onto the scene with confidence, sleek, sharp, and ready to disrupt. The concept is rooted in one simple truth: everything tastes better when kissed by flame. Every ember, every char, every caramelised edge is a dedication to excellence.
Once you step inside you’ll feel it. There’s a moody, industrial-chic space which glows with molten copper tones, textured woods, and flickers of open flame. It’s the kind of restaurant that makes you want to order a tomahawk steak and a negroni just because you can (and seriously, the 1,200g tomahawks are out of this world.) The venue is licensed, by the way, so your night can be as spirited as your appetite.
Whether you’re wooing a date, wowing clients, or just feel like setting your taste buds ablaze, Saltfire brings the kind of drama we live, breathe (and write) for.
Designed for dreamers, schemers, and lovers of quiet luxury.
Five Menus & Endless Indulgence.
Saltfire doesn’t play small. They’ve carved out five signature menus, each serving a uniquely different experience. So whether you’re dropping in for a discreet business lunch or a full extravagant dinner as a wagyu worshipper, there’s something to make you sweat – in a good way.
1. The Breakfast Menu
Mornings to make your mouth water. Serving up delights such as: Super Green Poached Eggs, Salmon and Avo Toast with a cheeky twist, or their “Royal Feast” (yes, beef fillet for breakfast is a power move and we support it). There’s Shakshuka for every mood which includes green fava for the purists, merguez for the rebels, and of course, freshly-baked flaky pastries, Pistachio Milk Cake, and honey-roasted granola for a sweet slow burn.
2. À La Carte Menu
This is where flame meets flair. The Short Rib Shumai is a smoky surprise, and the Garlic Chili Prawns pack a hefty bit of spice, while Wood-fire Broccoli Steak proves veggies can be vixens too. Then there’s Truffle Cream Tagliolini, charcoal Tiger Prawns with Aborio Rice, and a burger line-up that features unique options such as Wagyu Smash, Korean Chicken, and a Cheese and Jalapeño Dog.
3. The Grill Cuts
Welcome to the altar of meat. Saltfire worships the cow in all her marbled glory. We recommend the Full-Blood Stone Axe Wagyu MS9+, a 1.2kg Tomahawk that demands attention, and the ever-luxurious Margaret River Striploin. All meats are dry-aged, fire-cooked, and absolutely unapologetic.
4. Desserts, Darling
Who said fire doesn’t do finesse? Saltfire’s dessert menu is a dramatic finale that exudes culinary mastery. Basque Cheesecake that trembles at the touch, Wood-fired Pistachio Cookies that snap and melt, and their Triple Ice Cream Meringue Delight. This is part performance art, part sugar high. And if you prefer something lighter, there’s an Exotic Fruit Platter, or the Fire Brûlée for a taste of elegance.
5. Drinks & Artisan Sips
Saltfire’s drinks aren’t slacking either: each one is a masterclass in detail with creative non-alcoholic options. Expect Kiwi Wikie with cheek, Coco Bello with class, and a Passion Fizz that might just change your life. No-booze never felt so bougie. Plus: Raspberry Matcha Lattes, Valrhona Hot Chocolate, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and even Eira Norwegian spring water (because hydration is haute).

Every grain tells a story: dark wood, deep mood, undeniable charm.
