Frock Off: What to Expect from Red Sea Fashion Week

Fashion is taking Saudi Arabia by storm!

Fashionistas, brace yourselves for a global style takeover. Dolce & Gabbana kicked off the haute couture spectacle by bringing their Alta Moda collection to the stunning landscapes of AlUla. Saudi designers took centre stage at renowned fashion weeks in Paris and Milan, showcasing their talents under the dazzling spotlight of Saudi 100. From the ancient beauty of AlUla to the iconic catwalks of Europe, it’s a fashion journey fit for royalty.

Riyadh Fashion Week debuted in 2023, setting the stage for a fashion revolution. Following in the footsteps of Dolce & Gabbana’s grandeur in AlUla, Lebanese designer Rami Kadi wowed audiences with his couture show against the breathtaking backdrop of AlUla’s beauty. And now, brace yourselves for the inaugural Red Sea Fashion Week, kicking off on Thursday, and hosted at the exclusive The St. Regis Red Sea on a private island accessible only by boats, this event marks another milestone in Saudi Arabia’s journey to fashion prominence. Led by the Saudi Fashion Commission, this initiative aims to foster local talent and catapult Saudi designers onto the global stage.

Seven designers will grace the runway over three fabulous days, showcasing their exquisite collections. But that’s not all—visitors will also have the chance to get up close and personal with the designs during showroom visits.
