Dubai Announces Ramadan Paid Parking Hours & Public Transport 

With the holy month officially here, find out how to travel and where you can park for free.

During the Holy Month of Ramadan in Dubai, which started on Monday the 11th March, the updated paid parking timings are as follows:

  • Monday to Saturday:
    • First shift: 8am to 6pm
    • Second shift: 8pm to midnight
  • Sunday: Free

Just so you know, in Tecom areas, the parking rules stay the same – you’ll have to shell out from 8am to 6pm. But here’s the good news: multi-level parking spots are open 24/7 during Ramadan. Cool, right?

Public Transportation

Dubai Metro

No worries about the Dubai Metro – it’s business as usual during Ramadan. Here are the regular timings:

  • Monday to Thursday: 5am to midnight
  • Friday: 5am to 1am (the next day)
  • Saturday: 5am to midnight
  • Sunday: 8am to midnight

Dubai Tram

No changes to the Dubai Tram schedule during Ramadan fortunately. Here’s the regular timing scoop:

  • Monday to Saturday: 6 am to 1 am (the next day)
  • Sunday: 9 am to 1 am (the next day)

So, hop on the tram and go about your day with ease during the Holy Month.

Dubai Bus

Here’s the lowdown on Dubai Bus timings during Ramadan:

  • Monday to Friday: 4:30am to 12:30am (the next day)
  • Saturday and Sunday: 6am to 1am (the next day)

Quick tip: Metro Feeder buses will roll with the punches, syncing up with the first and last metro rides.

Intercity Buses

The RTA has announced the following schedule:

To Abu Dhabi: E100, E101 and E102

To Al Ain: E201

To Sharjah: E303, E306, E307, E307A and E315

To Ajman: E400 and E411

To Fujairah: E700

To Hatta: E16

Other Public Transport

For other modes of public transportation during Ramadan:

  • Water Bus, Abras, Water Taxi, and Dubai Ferry have adjusted timings (details available on the official website).

As for RTA Customer Happiness Centres

  • Monday to Thursday: 9am to 5pm
  • Friday: 9am to 12pm

Not to worry, Smart Centres at Umm Ramool, Al Manara, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf, and the head office will keep the lights on 24/7. So, whether it’s a boat ride or some customer service, can you still get access to their up to date knowledge.
