Best Brew: International Tea Day May 21st
As part of International Tea Day, The Insider are bringing you some of the quaintest spots to raise your cup to the British nation’s favourite drink.
Marks & Spencer
Brits rejoiced when M&S opened stores and a Deliveroo range in the UAE, and this works out even better on the 21st as you can get their epic tea ranges from chamomile, matcha, and of course English breakfast, delivered straight to your door. Fairtrade tea, sandwiches, scones with cream, and other sweet goodies are also on the menu – don’t miss out on their deals in cafes and home delivery.
Feel Good Tea
We love this cute online gifting-with-tea concept, founded by an Emirati husband and wife team. We recommend the Discovery Box (AED 129) which includes 15 different types of tea with unusual flavours such as turmeric glow, Moroccan mint, and more. There’s also a range of accessories and other bits that are oh-so-cute.
Palazzo Versace Dubai
Another at home option, but this time from ultra-fancy Palazzo Versace. Get finger sandwiches, homemade jam, scones, clotted cream, and even lemon curd, along with a choice of teas. Pre-order and collect the next day from the hotel and enjoy the feast from the comforts of your own home. This fancy display is available for aED 300 per stand.
TWG Tea Salon & Boutique, Dubai Mall
You’ve probably wandered past this spot whilst shopping in Dubai Mall (it’s near the fountains with the divers), and if you haven’t been before, now is the perfect time. TWG has the largest tea selection in the world, and there are simply hundreds on offer in their boutique, which also has a delectable selection of pastries and cakes. Yum.
Tania’s Tea House
One of the first Instagrammable spots in Dubai, Tania’s has long been a favourite in the scene, and we love their commitment to proper tea. Charming and chic, with delicious delicacies on the menu, this is a lovely little spot to celebrate your favourite drink.
