Filling Up Just Got Cheaper in The UAE

Petrol prices drop to kick off 2026.

Drivers, you’re starting the new year with a small win at the pump. The UAE’s new petrol and diesel rates for 2026 have been confirmed, and prices are heading in the right direction – down.

Here’s what you’ll now pay per litre:

  • Super 98: AED 2.53
  • Special 95: AED 2.42
  • Diesel: AED 2.55

All three are lower than December’s rates, giving motorists a little extra breathing room – whether you’re commuting daily, doing school runs, or planning road trips while the weather is perfect.

Make sure you note the new petrol prices for January 2026.

If you’ve been watching prices over the past year, you’ll know they’ve moved around month to month. Throughout 2025, Super 98 swung between the mid–AED 2.50s and high AED 2.70s, before easing down again as the year closed.

Staying economical the smart way with better prices for filling up your tank.

Fuel prices in the UAE are reviewed monthly and follow global market trends – a system introduced back in 2015 when the country moved away from fixed government-subsidised rates. That means when international oil prices fall, motorists here can benefit too.

Bottom line: for now, topping up your tank is a little lighter on the wallet, and that’s not a bad way to start 2026.
