The annual summer festival is back with two months of special offers, F&B deals, music events, retail, and more.
Starting on June 29th, Dubai Summer Surprises kicks off with a jam-packed two-month period of engaging offers that residents and tourists can look forward to right up until the end of the hot season on September 4th. The opening weekend also coincides with the Eid al Adha celebrations.
First up is a two-day concert at the Coca-Cola Arena with famous Arab musicians Hussain Al Jassmi and Kadim Al Sahir on July 1st, as well as Saudi Arabian singer Mohammed Abdu on July 2nd. Following this are 76 days of raffle draws, retail offers, epic culinary deals, and a line-up of family-friendly activities to keep the little ones entertained over a long hot summer. Look out for participating hotels that are offering a “kids go free” deal throughout the event.
The full events haven’t been announced yet, but based on the raffle, the offers look juicy. Get a brand new Nissan X-Trail, a Mercedes-Benz A200 and up to Dh100,000 in jewellery vouchers. Entrants can make their bid at various malls, petrol stations, and car service stations.
The festival is aimed at coaxing people out of their homes (despite the heat) and into malls (and their wallets) the festival is intended to beguile residents and tourists “with the best offers in town and a range of exciting entertainment”, says the Department of Economy and Tourism. The full calendar will be released on June 20th.
