Abu Dhabi Is Going Big for New Year’s Eve: A 50-Minute Fireworks Extravaganza!
Ready to ring in 2025 with a bang?
Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Festival is set to light up the skies with the world’s largest 50-minute fireworks display! If that wasn’t dazzling enough, the celebration will feature a jaw-dropping 6,000-drone show creating aerial art for over 20 minutes. Think sparkling lights, cultural vibes, and an unforgettable way to start the new year.
Breaking Records, Yet Again
Last year’s display? A 40-minute stunner that shattered three Guinness World Records for quantity, time, and formation, plus a separate drone record for the largest aerial logo. This year, the festival is aiming for six Guinness World Records, promising an even more spectacular show.
When and Where
- Fireworks kick off every hour starting at 6 PM, with the grand finale lighting up the night at midnight.
- The fun doesn’t stop there—catch laser shows, cultural performances, and more family-friendly activities throughout the evening.
Beyond Al Wathba: Other Spots to Celebrate
- Yas Bay: Double the fireworks with displays at 9 PM and midnight.
- Corniche: Enjoy waterfront views with a side of festive sparkles.
- Liwa Festival: Dive into cultural showcases, classic car exhibitions, and Moreeb Dune adventures alongside their own firework displays.
Saadiyat Island for Something Cosy
Prefer a quieter celebration? Saadiyat Island’s Christmas Village at the Abrahamic Family House has all the festive charm you need. From snowy crafts to reindeer food-making and holiday photo frames, it’s perfect for a low-key New Year’s Eve.
Wherever you choose to celebrate, Abu Dhabi is rolling out the red carpet—and the fireworks—for an epic start to 2025.
