Don’t worry that it’s too hot to shop, as we bring you four of the best summer markets brought indoors just for the summer.
No one wants to be outdoors for the summer months, and even the walk between the car park and the wafting air-conditioned cool of the malls is interminable, so fortunately some of the best summer markets have decamped indoors for the hot months, so you can browse your favourites in comfort and not miss out on a chance to shop.
Check out some of them below:
Arte: The Makers Market
You can support local artisanal sellers and get your goodies from homeware, different types of art, candles, jewellery, skincare, home decor, bags, clothes, and much more. The venue alternates between Mercato Mall and Times Square and Craft Land at Town Centre, but you can visit weekly every Saturday between 10am-10pm.
Urban Markets
A little off the beaten path, this one-off market is being held down in Silicon Oasis at the Radisson Red Hotel, and you’ll be able to browse a variety of goods that are vintage, thrifted, and from local sellers. The previous event was lively and included live music and an open mic at Oui Bar, and while the exact line up for the event this time hasn’t been announced yet we have high expectations. Visit on Saturday August 6th from 2pm-8pm and for more information contact the hotel directly.
Zeman Awwal Market
This is the market for women as it specialises in jewellery, fashion, arts and crafts, and culinary experiences – but gents can get a little something for themselves or choose a gift for their loved ones. Featuring stalls from home-grown brands and focusing on Emirati talent, there’s also a chance to take the little ones with you as there are fun-filled activities for them to engage in while you get your purchases. Stop by Mall of the Emirates to check this market out.
Ripe Market
Since the middle of May Ripe Market has closed up shop for their outdoor venues and headed indoors. As one of the most well-known markets that has spots across Dubai, their summer venue is Festival Plaza in Jebel Ali, and they’ve got food trucks, live entertainment, balloon artists for the kids, as well as all their homegrown stands to shop at. Shop every Saturday from 10am-9pm and they’ll also be at other locations throughout the summer, and you can stay up to date here.
