King Charles III Coronation: Where to Watch

King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla will Officially be Crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6th – and here’s where you can watch the celebrations live in Dubai.

With the passing of beloved Queen Elizabeth II, the previously known Prince Charles has become King, and now his official coronation with Queen Consort Camilla has been announced for May 6th. Expect both monarchs to be crowned, along with a parade, and all the pomp and ceremony you’d expect from the British royal family. Millions of viewers from around the world will watch, as the UK is the only European monarchy to still entertain this tradition – which hasn’t been previously performed since Queen Elizabeth II in 1953!

Here’s where you can catch the full event in Dubai:

Firelake Grill House

With a decadent brunch all day, this Damac Hills venue will feature a roast beef station, with other British-themed dishes and desserts. The screening starts at 2pm, so you can eat and drink before it starts as the brunch is between 1pm-4pm. Dhs199 (soft drinks), Dhs299 (house beverages), Dhs99 (kids), free (kids under five).

Rhodes W1

Classy British favourite Rhodes W1 is serving up a special Coronation Celebration Brunch, with live screenings of the ceremony, plus free-flowing drinks and food between 1-5pm. The coronation is also replayed for the evening brunch between 6-10pm alongside a live DJ. AED 350 including soft drinks and AED 495 with house beverages.

Bubbalicious, The Westin

One of the city’s oldest and favourite brunch spots, it’s no wonder that they’re serving up the good stuff with a themed event on Sunday. Expect classic roast dinners with afternoon tea delicacies such as coronation chicken sandwiches and cream tea. There’s also musicians and entertainers, a British bake-off style competition, and a big screening of the event from 1-4pm on May 7th, AED 295 with soft drinks, AED 350 with house beverages, and AED 450 with bubbles.

Marina Social, The Intercontinental Dubai Marina

Another British favourite with UK founders, Marina Social is offering a five-course set menu, plus a screening of the coronation with a cooking competition for the kids. Available Sat 6th and Sunday 7th from 1pm onwards, AED 270 with soft drinks and AED 60 for the kids’ masterclass.

Queen Elizabeth II

The QE2 will be showing the coronation across three different venues. We recommend the Queens Room which features a British buffet, while the Queens Grill has a more formal three-course meal, and the Golden Lion offers ultra-casual vibes and Brit pub grub. Prices vary across venues and festivities are between 5th-7th May.

The Croft, Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites

Old school British food including chicken pie, Queen’s mutton pie, and premium beef fillet are on the menu at The Croft. Only AED 150 per person including one soft drink, with the option to upgrade to include British beverages for AED 300, on the 6th May midday until 4pm.

Reform Social & Grill, The Lakes

Their classic summer garden tent is the perfect place to enjoy a slice of England while you down British sips and snacks. The kids can be entertained with face painting and crafts while you watch the coronation. AED 220 with soft drinks, AED 375 with house, and AED 99 for kids, from 1-4pm on the 6th May.
