Ramadan 2024 is just a few days away, and the UAE’s International Astronomy Center announced on February 26th that “most countries will see the crescent of Ramadan on Sunday, March 10th.” However, whether the crescent will be visible in the Middle East on that date is still uncertain, raising the possibility that Ramadan might commence on Monday, March 11th, or Tuesday, March 12th. While most reports in Dubai suggest Monday, March 11th, as the starting day, the official declaration from the UAE government is eagerly awaited. This is also the first time Ramadan has been celebrated in the winter season since the year 2000.
