BrunchDrink & Dine

We take out our inner child for the day at the Cafe Belge DIFC for the Sunday Family Roast Brunch…

Sunday Family Roast Brunch that includes the kiddos with face painting, Elsa from Frozen appearance including sing-a-longs to the copious arrays of desserts that makes us want to be a kid again in a candy store…it was in every sense delightful for both families or friends at a brunch.

As you walk into this Art Deco restaurant there’s this stylized, decorative detail of a fish on the sleek subway tiles, and to be blunt it actually triggers in me, like Pavlov’s salivating dog, the expectancy of downright good food. I don’t know what it is but I can sense it and I am giddy with excitement. The comfortable outside seating is like a cavern and even in the hot summer season it is cooled with ceiling fans and doors open from the interior makes it wonderfully enjoyable.

Now if your like us and have discerning taste for absolutely delicious food, then hand to heart, the Cafe Belge at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC is notably a definite must try. Take it from u, we have had many and I do mean many, terrific business lunches here ranging from pan-seared crispy sea bass, perfectly chargrilled octopus(a personal favourite), massive wagyu burgers and truffle flatbread to name a few.

The varying selection of cheeses and breads to the appetizing health concious salads, to the mouth-watering assortment of cool poached lobster, marinated prawns, mussels and calimari are all perfectly cooked, not dried or rubbery”.

To their Raw Bar of fresh chilled oysters and salmon tartar and infamous Moules et frites to just the right amount of other choices for dinner. Am I biased? Certainly, when it comes to food and good service. Its a little take on Belgium food and charm here.

And just recently their newly launched Sunday Family Roast Brunch that includes the kiddos with face painting, Elsa from Frozen appearance including sing-a-longs to the copious arrays of desserts that makes me want to be a kid again in a candy store…it was in every sense delightful to both families or friends at a brunch.

“The customize your own pasta station with a chef at your beck and call, should be boxed with a red bow and brought home and never leave is a schemingly great idea”.

The warm, light & fluffy battered fish & chips with perfect tempura prawns-station is just right.

The customize your own pasta station with a chef at your beck and call, should be boxed with a red bow and brought home and never leave is a schemingly great idea. Oh and don’t get me started with the smoke and bbq station of perfectly grilled lobster tails and prawns….the juicy succulent leg of lamb screaming to be devoured was all just…too much of a good thing. The dainty and delicate desserts for the adults was demurely not trying to compete with the hands down winner of desserts of the children’s haven of dessert heaven. It was a close second.

Certainly a great brunch that is sustainable, it is a perfect amount of choices and not all consuming, over abundant array of food selection that would make you dizzy. It entertains your little ones, socialble and tantilizes your taste buds….absolutely delectable.
