Saudi singer Mohammed Abdo’s Dubai concert pushed back

The event marked the close of the Dubai Summer Surprises promotional season

A concert for Saudi singer Mohammed Abdo at Dubai World Trade Centre will no longer take place on Friday, the organisers have announced.

The event, which marks the close of the Dubai Summer Surprises promotional season, has been pushed back by a day “due to the sad demise” of the singer’s brother.

Abdo will now perform on Saturday at the same time, 9:00pm, and tickets for Friday will be accepted at the door.

“Mohammed Abdo remains graciously committed to his fans and hopes to see everyone on Saturday night,” a statement read.

“Fans who are unable to attend the revised concert, can contact helpcenter@platinumlist.net before the start of the event, clearly mentioning their order number and registered email address and they will issue a refund.”

Ticket prices for the concert started at Dhs300 (482) for silver seats, with royal tier seats selling for Dhs2,500 ($681).

The concert has been organised by Dubai Tourism, in partnership with Platinum Records – MBC Group.

Listings site Platinumlist said it was Abdo’s first concert in the UAE for more than a year and would feature
his greatest hits.
